From childhood to our senior years our nutrition needs change with our lifestyle, health and physical activity. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healthy eating. Foods that are good for one person may not be for another. We don't hand everyone the same list of foods and meal plans. Counseling is custom to each individual's needs and situation. The Solebury Club offers nutrition counseling and programs to support members and their families through every stage and phase of life.

Nancy has experience counseling clients in all aspects of nutrition including:

  • Weight loss, cravings, stress eating & emotional eating
  • Disease management (high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, cancer, auto-immune disease & prevention)
  • Increase energy & immune function
  • Reduce symptoms and manage food intolerances
  • Manage stress, time & lifestyle issues

  • Children & teens - unique curriculum for overweight and picky eating
  • Family nutrition issues, including food allergies
  • Healthy cooking

One-on-one Counseling:

Single sessions: $125, 4 session package: $435

MAUREEN SHORTT

With over 20 years of clinical practice, Maureen Shortt brings a wealth of experience. She holds a Bachelors's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Nutrition and Counseling. She is a Fellow of the American Institute of Stress, a certified yoga instructor, and an Ayurvedic educator and practitioner.

Maureen has developed and managed nutrition, stress management, and yoga programs for individuals and groups nationally including PECO, AT&T, SaraCity Workout, and the American Association of Aerobics Instructors. She was senior trainer with Beacon WorkLife Connections, the largest employee assistance company in Bucks County, PA, for whom she developed the "Working Well" program for the US Navy. She is currently Nutritionist, and Director of Yoga for the Solebury Club.

Maureen says "We will work in measurable increments, so that modifications become habits that sustain your weight, your immunity, your hormones, your blood sugar and your moods."

These habits pay off in:

  2. knowing your constitutional imbalances (dealing with the CAUSE not the symptoms)
  3. eating according to your constitution (for energy, satisfaction, and results)

  6. getting better sleep (muscle is built during sleep)
