SPRING AYURVEDIC CLEANSE

The switch from winter to spring can be a challenge for your body, mind and mood. In winter your body acquires more of the qualities of heaviness and denseness that keep you balanced through the cold months.

When spring arrives, there can then be an overload of this heaviness and denseness in your body as well as your mind. Toxins from air and water, foods and chemicals, as well as emotional stress and poorly digested foods, may have accumulated faster than you can cleanse them. All of which becomes a breeding ground for excess weight and possibly illnesses like colds, flus, allergies, and sinus infections.

Spring is the ideal time for cleansing and detoxification. In fact, biologically nature supports the cleansing of your body and mind in the spring- you just need to assist that natural process.

Once you do, you will be lighter, have more endurance, and be able to enjoy life more.

In this program you will learn a simple dietary and lifestyle cleanse that will restore your balance, allowing your body's own natural weight loss and self-healing processes to work more effectively. While most detox programs cleanse the colon and digestive tract only, you will do much more, including supporting fat metabolism, and improving absorption of nutrients.

What you learn will integrate the time-honored system of Ayurveda, one of the oldest known sciences of health, with the best of modern science.

This NOT a fasting program. You will be eating specific foods that support the cleansing process. And you will be able to continue exercising.

If you are new to this cleanse there is an online video to watch at your leisure, plus a 1 hour group session with Maureen Shortt, MA, club Nutritionist, on Friday, March 27 from 10:30 to 11:30 am.  You will receive handouts for how to do the  cleanse. The cost is $50. Register through the front desk.
